RSS likes Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh

January 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The BJP’s demand for Bharat Ratna for former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has found little favour with the RSS which has suggested that Bhagat Singh deserved the country’s highest civilian honour. L.K. Advani, a senior leader demanded the Bharat Ratna for another senior leader and former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpaye. Advani and his party washed Vajpayee’s name on the streets, who worked 70-80 years for Sangh Parivar. He can offer a Bharat Ratna on his Prime Ministership, because he has already prepared a PM-coat.

After L.K. Advani’s demand, a dozen names have been discussed by various political parties.

RSS now tries to defame Bhagat Singh. RSS understand how they could defame a good politician, Atal Behari Vajpayee. They like to make Bhagat Singh a symbol rape, women trafficking, corruption, drunkard etc. what RSS is today. Actually RSS said it indirectly, because they want to give Bharat Ratna for their Bilkis Bano rapists, who are going jail for lifetime. RSS is saying to be a cultural organisation, but Indian people recognise these jungle thieves.

Nano and Singur: The Role of Media and Some Political Parties

January 11, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“The unveiling of the Tata Motors’ “People’s Car” – ‘Nano’ (now being referred to as ‘Lakhtakia car’ because of its Rs.1-lakh price tag) – was being eagerly awaited not just by the Indians but by the entire world.” (The Hindu, January 11, 2008).

About 600 SEZ (Special Economic Zone) are allowed by Congress led UPA government in its 4 years tenure. Two SEZs are allowed for West Bengal, Eastern State of India. One was for Tata’s car factory at Singur another for a Chemical hub at Nandigram.

Mamata Banerjee, Opposition leader of West Bengal, who has been struggling to form a government for last 30 long years. While Tata Motors unveiled its car in a blaze of glory and publicity on January 10, 2008 at New Delhi, at Singur village in West Bengal, Mamta and her supporters burnt a replica of the Rs 100,000 Nano as a sign of their protest against the company and its plans to displace them.

Mamata Banerjee earlier came with Congress, BJP, Maoists, SUCI, Jamaat-e-Islami, CPI(ML) under one roof to attack the Left government in West Bengal to displace Singur and Nandigram SEZs. Those parties never showed their commitment with people anywhere in India. They paved way for a great loss both in Singur and Nandigram. CPI(M) lost lives of its 27 activists and another 120 common people are brutally killed in last one year including many police officers. State lost crores of rupees during their bandh and hartal. Corporate media facilitated them to attack the Left. But Left has chosen always constructive way.

Left front government done a big thing for all with Singur factory to make this car. TATA get the benefit, customers get cheapest car, people outside of Singur factory get a big city and market, poor people get employment and they have union also. Another 2,50,000 unit plants will be constructed in Singur area. Government kept the balance with everybody.

CPI(M) led Left does the same constructive works in another states also. Com. EMS, first Chief Minister of Kerala, Southern India when first time elected a Communist government in 1957 through ballot brought two big companies in his tenure.  Both belong to capitalists Birla and Tata. In 1960s Birla Management started a factroy in Calicut named Gwalior Rayons for producing pulp and fibre. The arrival of Gwalior Rayons caused a rapid change in the life style of native people and a tremendous development. Tata’s Priemier Tyres at Kalamassery was another one.

Nobody can reject good politicians who are always ready for pro-people.  I hope people will compare the Left government with UPA government at Centre, it could not do much better work, even the Left gives outside support and cooperation.
